- Country/ person
- time frame
- thesis that addresses the question (1-2 Sentences)
- Clarify any terms
- Provide relevant background information
- End with your thesis
Body:
- 3-5 Paragraphs that SUPPORT YOUR THESIS
- Write an Analytical essay
- First sentence: POINT, not fact
Conclusion:
- Provide a clear evaluation
- Challenge inherent assumptions in the question?
- historiography (but not just name dropping a historians name)
- "So what" sentence
- what is your topics significance?
- Long/ Short term impact?
